Uneeda Burger – Seattle
I really wanted to like this burger joint in Fremont. I was told that it was better than the Lunchbox Lab. “They have gluten-free buns.” I do not really care about gluten-free buns, but I liked the fact that owners wanted to appeal to as many customers as possible. I was really excited about the choice of regular beef, kobe beef, and grass-fed beef. The shakes were made with real ice cream and they had poutine!
With the hype, hunger and excitement fueling my drive to Fremont in rush hour traffic, I was so disappointed by the food. The Crimini mushrooms (with Kobe beef) was truly underwhelming and the poutine was just stingy with the toppings. For twenty dollars, I expected so much more. Based on this one visit, there is no way that Uneeda Burger can compete with the Counter, Lunchbox Lab, Seattle Burger Company or Skillet. I am really hoping that this was just a bad day in the kitchen.

I wanted to share with the world one of the best dishes that I have tasted in a long time. The gentlemen at the Raw Bar served this as an Amuse Bouche and it wowed everyone sitting at the bar. Also impressive was the Crunchy Roll (Shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, yamagobo, kaiware sprouts, and chili sauce).
